About Tim

Welcome to the Official Website for Tim Driesen, the multi-talented West End Actor, Singer and Writer.

Belgian-born Tim trained at Laine Theatre Arts in London, where he graduated with an Honours Diploma in Musical Theatre. Tim has enjoyed an array of roles since graduating, his most well known being Adrian Banks/Mark Owen in the musical Never Forget, based on Take That songs. He originated this character and played him on both the 2007 and 2008 UK tours, before a stint at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End in 2008.

Tim also recently played 'Paul' in Jet Set Go on the West End and played the part of 'Mark Cohen' in a recent Charity Gala performance of Rent. Previously, Tim has also covered and played 'Rusty' in Starlight Express (UK tour), covered and played 'Riff-Raff' and 'Rocky; in The Rocky Horror Show (European Tour). Other theatre credits include Bat Boy-the musical (covered and played the title role, Shaftesbury Theatre London), Mamma Mia (Prince Edward Theatre, London), Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (UK-tour), Donny Osmond and David Cassidy in Thank You For The Music (UK-tour) and Narrator in Glory Hallelujah 2000 (Belgian tour).

He has appeared on several Television shows in the UK & his native Belgium. This includes VH1's documentary Behind The Musical - which followed the original cast of Never Forget as they prepared for the world premiere of the show back in 2007. Tim also went on to promote the show on several big name Television programmes such as GMTV, Loose Women and The Paul O'Grady Show. TV work in Belgium included The Bubbles (lead role, Belgian commercial television VTM) and becoming a finalist on Belgium's own Pop Idol.

Tim can be seen on the Never Forget DVD and heard on the Mephistopheles Smith EP, Bat Boy - The Musical, Glory Hallelujah 2000 (Revival cast) and The Bubbles - Music from the television series. He has also been involved in several Workshops: Dorian in Dorian - Tristan Bates Theatre, London, Spectator in The Bet (Criterion Theatre, London) and Percy in Something Wicked.

He has played lead roles in several Pantomimes including Jack and the Beanstalk (2008/9) and Dick Whittington (2009/10) and most recently won a VMP Award (Belgian Music Awards) for his role in Notre Dam de Paris in Belgium.

Tim writes and performs his own pop songs and has also written a full length musical Super Alice Smith which was recently showcased at the Perfect Pitch showcase 2009 (Trafalgar Studios, London).

Tim spent a season as the Lead singer on the Cunard Cruise ship, Queen Elizabeth before taking on the lead role for the Belgian production of Queen musical, We Will Rock You in August 2011.

Tim recently appeared as alternative Phoebus/Gringoire in the Asian Touring Production of Notre Dame de Paris and started rehersals for 'Street of Dreams - The Coronation Street Musical' immediately upon returning to the UK. He can now be seen touring with this production and details of this can be found on our News page!
